Sarah is able to deal with many of life's battles and come out the victor until recently. Her health is declining, medication list is increasing, problem list expanding and overall, weaker in the game of life. This recent hospitalization was on the burners since we left the hospital two weeks ago but yet, it came suddenly. Sudden enough that Sarah's little body was ill prepared to fight and has had so many complications with it. I wish that I could report many bright and happy cures for her current ails but sadly, I can't. No one can.
It seems that she will be prepared coast in life but not of the same health that she was even as of two months ago. The need for heart surgery is becoming more apparent and worrisome as we plod through consultants and somber faces. Most know the gravity of the situation while others want to avoid eye contact and admission of her fate.
We are asked what we need right now. The usual answer is that we are doing well and really need nothing for us. Truth be told, we are in need of two simple gestures -prayer and support for our little girl.
Lots of prayers coming your way!!! Even the kids... Last night...at the end of Gavin's prayer: "Heavenly Father, Please bless Sarah and her family! Please bless Sarah that she can be strong." Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn (and family)! We can feel them from here.
